Proposal

Art Gallery - Reading - The Centre of cool - My idea and dream is to start up an art gallery, but not a normal art gallery that’s dark, stuffy and very difficult to walk into with out feeling out of place. An art gallery for everybody, some where you can go to find out about events that are going on in your local town, where local artists can display their works for all to see and don’t get charged a small fortune in commission and a place that you can feel proud that you are part of a town that has all these cool things going on. A Centre of Cool..! I would like to invite local organisations to exhibit work and have a section or wall that is dedicated to people who are not so fortunate as our selves, artists that have slipped or had a problem and need a little encouragement to get back on the right track, maybe due to an accident or down time in their life. In this space we will give the opportunity to exhibit work produced by adults who may have disabilities such as down syndrome or other mental impairments, what ever you think cool is, is definitely not cool to ignore those who are not as well off as ourselves. This is going to be a place that people can come and look at amazing art that is created on our own door step, where purchases may not take place immediately but once they start to understand and look at the ethos behind the art we have to offer it will become difficult for customers not to walk out with a new peace of art.  I also want to get local celebrities involved and local businesses, and persuade them to back this original idea creating the opportunity for a range of different people to jump and board and be a part of The Centre of cool. From the young to the old everybody wants something that is original to hang on their wall and the Centre of Cool is the place to get your next piece of art from, or find out what’s cool and going on around the town you come from, lets get proud of the town Reading..!

So far I have spoke to the local mental health authority and got them very interested also I’ve spoken to about eight very established artists from Reading who would be more then grateful to put their artwork in the gallery. We have also got the editor of the evening post ready with a reporter to come to the opening and do a full story on what we hope to develop and achieve with the art gallery. Every day I’m talking with people who would be a great help in the promotion of the gallery attracting more consumer interest to the King’s walk, being not just beneficial for our proposal but also the other businesses down the walk.

Please look at my artwork at the ‘image gallery’ or the ‘Extra’ tab or buy something from my design shop, just click the tab at the top of this page, if you are interested in any sort of my art work, from a original tribal tattoo design, to an original acrylic canvas, please e-mail me at bribri@tribalalien.com, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible..!
